Press Release

George Adams Gallery will be participating in the annual ADAA Art Show at the Seventh Regiment Armory (67th St. & Park) February 23 - 27, 2006.  The gallery's booth will feature a solo exhibition of work by Robert Arneson (1930-1992), including ceramic and bronze sculpture, drawing and painting from 1958 to 1992.  The survey will highlight work from different periods, such as Crazy Nuke (1986) a large-scale ceramic from the Nuclear Series; Calling All Cops (1989) a painting from a series of works exploring racial stereotypes; and Elvis II, a conte crayon study from 1978 part of a series of portraits titled "Heroes and Clowns." The exhibition will also feature several self-portraits including This Head is Mine (1983) and Eyes On Me Endlessly (1992), both cast in bronze.
