Enrique Chagoya, Aliens Sans Frontieres 2016

Enrique Chagoya, Aliens Sans Frontières, 2016. Lithograph on amate paper, edition 30, 24 x 28 inches.

Enrique Chagoya is the subject of a solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art. Aliens is a survey of the artist's career: works included illustrate the artist drawing from his experiences living on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border in the late 70’s, and also in Europe in the late 90’s, juxtaposing secular, popular, and religious symbols in order to address the ongoing cultural clash between the United States, Latin America and the world as well. The exhibition is on view through April 19, and there will be an opening reception on March 7 from 2-4pm.
