We’re happy to see a codex by Enrique Chagoya on view in ‘Onward and Upward: Shark’s Ink’ at the Colorado University Art Museum, Boulder, CO.
The exhibition showcases the ‘Sharkive’, one of the most comprehensive printmaking collections in the country, which the museum acquired in 2018. Selections from the Sharkive featured in the show tell the story of the Shark’s studio and the many artists they worked with, visualize the process of printmaking and celebrate the variety of artistic visions brought to life. Enrique’s codex is on view alongside work by Roy De Forest, Red Grooms, Jane Hammond, Hung Liu, and many others.
