A Memorial Exhibition

On Friday, October 22nd the Frumkin/Adams Gallery will open a memorial exhibition for Robert Arneson who died November 2, 1992 at the age of 62. The exhibition will include a selection of major works exhibited at the gallery over the last 20 years, including his self-portrait Classical Exposure of 1972 and his portrait of Roy DeForest from his Artist's Portraits series of the mid-1970s. In addition there will be works in all media from his Nuclear and Jackson Pollock series, including Guardians of the Secret II which will serve as the centerpiece of the show. The opening of the exhibition will coincide with a symposium on Arneson's career and achievements sponsored by American Ceramics Magazine in New York.
